I am so excited you chose me to capture these memories for you! I can't wait to get to know you and your family. Each session with me will be created special just for your family. I don't just want to capture your family, I want to capture the moments and feelings between your family.
What time does my session start?
Please arrive and be ready to start at the time we agree upon. Your session is scheduled according to light and, unfortunately, the sun will not wait for us.
What will our session look like?
I will have planned out some specific spots within our location to work our way around. I am your director! Don't worry about how to stand or what to do, I will walk you through everything; all you have to do is be you! I will guide your family into natural poses then ask you to talk to each other, or tell silly jokes, and I will say sill things to get natural reactions. Don't worry about the details, just relax and enjoy this time with your family and leave everything up to me. You don't even worry about looking at my camera unless I direct you to.
What should we wear?
Definitely wear something that makes you feel confident, beautiful, and something that you can move around in. As a family, it's best if you aim to coordinate but not match. Avoid wearing anything with very bright colors or branding decals, as these can be distracting. Darker ‘jewel’ colors, such as maroon red, gold, or sapphire blue, photograph really well. Green is generally not such a good choice as we’ll be outside. Apart from that, just something that you really feel like 'you' in! What about the weather?
If for any reason Mother Nature is not on our side the day of your session we will reschedule it for a day that will give us that beautiful lighting that we need to make your images glow.
What about my kids?
Most children don't like being asked to sit there and smile. That is not what I want or expect from your child. Children have curious minds of their own and that is ok! I am aiming to capture moments the make them happy. I will pose everyone and say silly things to get reactions that are natural and not forced. I do recommend that your little ones are well rested and have eaten recently. feel free to bring water and a non messy snack along though. Any time we seem to be losing the kids’ interest we'll move on to our next destination with new things to explore.
Can I bring our pet dog along?
You're welcome to bring them along! Just let me know ahead of time.
In Home Newborn Session:
What to expect:
Choose at least 2-3 rooms in your house that has the best natural lighting. That means with just the curtains and blind open letting in the natural sun light. No artificial lighting. Ex.- Bedroom, Living room, Kitchen, etc. This is your home, your comfortable place, I will pose you in natural poses that feel like you're at home just hanging with the family. I will be capturing all your natural moments and reaction.
Do I have to clean my whole house?
NO! Do not go crazy cleaning your house! I am not judging you. I have kids and pets so I completely understand if things get behind. Just the rooms you would like to be photographed tidy up bit, throw things in the closet or wherever! If there is something I think might distract from your beautiful family I can move things around. No worries!
How do I receive my photos afterwards?
Within 3 weeks of your shoot date, I will send you a link to your online gallery with full resolution digital images. All digital downloads are yours to share, print and keep forever. This gallery will be live for viewing, downloading.
Do you offer any further services?
I offer a selection of services to you, including printing, canvases and photo books at competitive prices - all available through your gallery. I can only guarantee colors and appearance when you print through me. Images need to be edited differently for different media, so I edit images either for screen, canvas or printing. You can share your gallery with friends and family, for them to view and order from, if you choose. All orders are delivered to your address to keep prices low for you.
When will I receive my gallery:
Your gallery will be ready within 3 weeks. All images will be professionally edited and emailed to you in a private gallery. Within your gallery you will be able to make additional purchase for prints and wall art.
